Dire Dawa Free Trade Zone, the first of its kind in Ethiopia, has become promising in boosting Ethiopia’s economy, investment and regional economic integration, GCS so disclosed.
The Government Communication Service (GCS) along with various media personnel paid a visit on Wednesday to Dire Dawa Free Trade Zone. GCS State Minister Selamawit Kassa said that it is high time for Africans to cooperate, stretch value-chain and modernize their marketing system for the development of the communities at large.
She further stated that the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) was also the recently held AU Summit prime agenda, which plays an immense role towards modernizing trade activities, creating job opportunities, enhancing transfer of knowledge and minimizing logistics cost.
